What changed
Until now, only a bot's owner could put it on Premium. Now a collaborator can purchase Premium for a bot they work on, from their own account. The owner isn't charged, the collaborator's own account and bots don't change, and everyone working on the bot gets the Premium features.
It's the same Single Bot plan an owner would buy, monthly or yearly, at the same price, sales included.
Purchase Premium for a bot
- Open the bot you collaborate on and go to the Premium page.
- Pick monthly or yearly, then click Purchase Premium on the Single Bot card.
- Read How it works, then click Continue to checkout.
- Pay in Stripe. You come back to a page that shows each step and tells you when Premium is on, usually within a few seconds.
The owner and the other collaborators can see who purchased it, but never your card or the amount. You and the owner both get the Premium role in the BotGhost Discord server.
Who can purchase
Collaborators with the Purchase Premium permission. It's part of the Admin role, or the owner can tick it under Customise permissions on the Collab page.
If you can't purchase, the Premium page says why and what to do. Maybe you need the permission, the bot already has Premium, or another collaborator is checking out first. Only one collaborator can purchase Premium for a bot at a time.
Cancelling
Only the collaborator who purchased it can cancel. Go to Settings, find Premium you purchased, press Cancel, then Cancel Premium to confirm. The bot keeps Premium until the end of the period you purchased, nothing more is charged, and you can press Keep it any time before then.
Good to know
- If you leave or are removed from the bot, nothing changes until you decide. Keep it, or cancel it so it stops at the end of the period.
- If the owner buys Unlimited, your subscription stops at the end of the period and nothing more is charged. Unlimited covers the bot from then on.
- If the bot is deleted, your subscription stops renewing.
- If the bot can't take your purchase, for example because another collaborator got there first, the payment is refunded in full.
- Unlimited stays an owner-only plan.
