coins went from 120 to 150What changed
Until now, the only way to know what your command did was to guess from what came out in Discord. Playbacks shows you. Run a command in your server while its builder is open, and the run plays back on the canvas: every block it ran lights up in order, along every line and If / Else path it took. Blocks it skipped stay dark, and a block that failed says why in plain words.
There's nothing to switch on first. The run shows up by itself, and the Playbacks button in the top bar gets a count.
Play a run
- Open a command or event in the builder and keep it open.
- Run it in your server.
- Press Playbacks, pick the run and press Play.
- Pause, step back and forward (or use the arrow keys), and pick Slow, Normal or Fast.
Click the bubble beside a failed block to open it and fix it.
Follow your variables
Pick up to 4 variables to follow. A coloured chip beside each block shows what it did to them, like coins 120 to 150, and clicking a chip opens that step. You can also see everything every block changed and used.
Buttons, menus and other people
A button or menu press shows under the run that sent the message, and plays from the button that was pressed. Runs by you and your collaborators show up by themselves. With Premium, Watch others shows everyone's runs, or certain roles and people, for 10 minutes.
See values without guessing
The new Log a Line block writes a line with your variables into the playback, so you can check a value without sending test messages. Last Run Values puts a green note under each setting showing what it came out as last time.
Good to know
- Playbacks are kept while a builder is open, for 15 minutes after each run.
- If a run used your last saved version instead of your unsaved changes, the playback says so, with Save now.
- Every part can be switched off in Builder Settings.
- Your commands run exactly as before. Playbacks only watch.
