What changed

Birthdays is rebuilt from scratch, and it's free now. Members add their birthday once, from the ask panel or with /birthday set. On the day, your bot posts in your birthday channel with a Send a wish button and gives them a birthday role for the rest of their day. When their day ends, the role comes off and every wish arrives in one DM.

Every setting is free

Everything here works on the free plan, the birthday card included. Birthdays' commands, events and stored birthdays don't count toward your free limits.

Set up birthdays

1. Open Modules and click Birthdays, then switch it on.
2. On the Celebrate tab, pick the Birthday channel and a Birthday role.
3. Press Save Changes, then Post the panel on the Ask members tab.
4. Try it: set your own birthday to today with /birthday set, and it's celebrated within the hour.

What you can set

• Celebrate: the hour and time zone, who gets celebrated, the post and its versions, who to ping, the birthday and month roles, reactions, a pin and thread, a DM, a cake on their name, a reward and a birthday card.
• Ask members: the ask panel, who can add a birthday, the birth year, changes a year, star sign roles and staff.
• Wishes: the Send a wish button, a wish count, pictures, early wishes and the birthday book.
• Upcoming: the upcoming list, a monthly post and heads-ups before a birthday.
• Special days: join anniversaries with milestone roles, and your server's own days.
• Birthdays: everyone's birthdays, a CSV import and download, and what happens when a member leaves.
• Every message the bot sends can be changed.

Good to know

• Each server has its own channels, roles and times. Pick one in the server menu at the top right.
• Each member is celebrated once a year, so changing a birthday after the day doesn't post again.
• Only the day and month are needed. A year is only kept to show an age the member chooses to show, ages under 18 are never shown, and a year that makes someone under 13 is never kept.
• Staff are members with Manage Server or one of the staff roles you pick.
• If your bot still has the old Birthdays on, the page offers Move my birthdays, and switches the old one off so nobody is celebrated twice.
• On free bots, a small Made with BotGhost line shows under the messages about one time in three.

• NewWishes: once each, up to 200 characters, with a picture, a wish count on the post, and Early wishes up to 30 days before
• NewThe birthday book: every wish in one DM when their day ends
• NewUpcoming list kept up to date every night, a Monthly post, and up to 3 heads-ups before a birthday, with a planning thread
• NewJoin anniversaries with up to 5 milestone roles, and up to 25 Special days of your own, each with its own message
• NewBirthdays in your server: search, remove, Import a CSV, Download as CSV and Clean up members who left
• NewWhen a member leaves: forget their birthday straight away, or keep it up to 90 days in case they come back, and Delete all birthdays
• New/birthday set, remove, mine, view, upcoming, today, timezone and wish, staff's panel, add-for, remove-for, block, lock, preview and special, and right click View birthday
• NewMove my birthdays brings your old Birthdays' settings and everyone's birthdays across, without DMing anyone
• NewDifferent settings for each server, from the server menu at the top right of the page
• NewEvery member of the server in Run a Loop: go over every member, or only members with some roles, with {loop_member_id} each round
• NewTime zones in a text option's Autocomplete: members pick a time zone from a list as they type
• NewHour (0 to 23) and Month and day in Manipulate some text's Part of a Date
• ImprovedBotGhost's own modules don't count toward a free bot's limits any more, from their stored values to their buttons
• ImprovedUpdate on a module keeps the Permissions and Cooldown you set on its commands
