The Marketplace is open at botghost.com/market. It is where BotGhost creators share what they build: whole systems of commands and events that anyone can add to their own bot, and keep up to date.
What is a pack?
A pack is a set of commands, events and variables taken from someone's bot. When you install one, it arrives on your bot ready to use. The creator can offer settings for you to fill in as you install, such as a channel, a role or the text of a message, so the pack fits your server without opening the builder.
When the creator improves their pack, you get the update.
Installing packs
- Quick install: pick your bot, fill in the pack's settings, and it is done. If you change your mind, you can undo an install within 24 hours.
- Updates: you see what changed in the new version and choose what to replace. Anything you edited yourself is never overwritten without asking.
- Free plan bots: a pack switches on what fits your plan (3 commands and 3 events) and adds the rest switched off, so you can choose which ones run. On a Premium bot everything arrives switched on.
Your packs show under Installed Packs in the dashboard, with a page for each one.
Publishing your own
Press Publish in the Marketplace's top bar, pick a bot, choose the commands and events to share, and write the pack's page.
- Every pack is reviewed by the BotGhost team, on top of automatic checks.
- Not approved? The pack comes back to you as a draft with the reviewer's notes. Press Fix and send again once it is ready.
- To publish you need your Discord account linked and to be in the BotGhost Discord server, where reviewers can reach you.
The Founding creator badge
Every creator who has a pack approved and live in the Marketplace's first month gets the gold Founding creator badge on their profile, and keeps it for good. The window closes on 9 November, and the badge will never be given out again. Packs go live once a reviewer approves them, so send yours in with time to spare.
Levels and XP
XP comes from other people using what you make:
- +50 when a pack goes live
- +2 the moment someone installs it, +3 more once they keep it three days, and +1 if it is still there a week later
- +3 for an upvote from someone who installed it
- +5 for a 4 or 5 star review
- +10 for an update, once per pack every two weeks
- +100 for entering a community event, and up to 2,500 for winning one
Your own installs, bots and votes never count, so the only way up is making things people keep.
There are 20 levels. They unlock more listing slots (one to start with, up to 30), screenshots, your own pack images, FAQs, fast track reviews from level 5, a support server button, setup videos and profile frames. Creator roles in the BotGhost Discord follow your level automatically, and higher levels unlock rewards on BotGhost itself, up to lifetime Premium at levels 10 and 15.
Community events
Each event has a theme. Build a pack for it and enter it, then the community votes for their favourites.
- Everyone who enters: +100 XP, an entry badge on your profile, and +4 XP for every vote your entry gets (up to 1,000 XP an event).
- The top three: 2,500, 1,500 and 1,000 XP, a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place badge, and prizes. The winner also gets the Event Winner role in the BotGhost Discord.
The first event begins on 17 October, the same day publishing opens to everyone.
Free vs Premium
- Browsing and installing: free for everyone, from today.
- Publishing new packs: BotGhost Premium members only until 17 October, then open to everyone. Older token and lifetime plans count as Premium.
- Updates to packs that are already live are never held back.
- Premium bots get every command and event in a pack switched on.
The schedule
- 11 October: the Marketplace opens, and Premium members can publish.
- 17 October: publishing opens to everyone, and the first community event begins.
- 9 November: the last day to earn the Founding creator badge.
The rules for packs are at botghost.com/market/rules.
