Ignore errors, and fewer errors to ignore

What changed

Some errors are ones you expect, like a member who has their DMs closed. Until now they sat in your list and kept counting. Now you can Ignore them: they stay counted, but they get out of your way.

We also went through every error our blocks hit across BotGhost and fixed the cause. Over 150 kinds of errors that used to say This block stopped unexpectedly now either just work, or tell you plainly what is missing.

Ignore an error

1. Open the Errors page and open the error.
2. Press Ignore this error.
3. Click again within 3 seconds to confirm.

The error leaves your list, your counts and the Failing chips on your commands and events. You get no more pop ups, fix tips or alerts for it. Changed your mind? Press Undo on the message that shows, and the error goes back exactly as it was.

View ignored errors

Ignored errors sit in a slim View ignored errors list under your errors, with the number in brackets. Open it any time and press Stop ignoring to bring one back.

In the builder

When a run fails while the builder is open, the error pop up has the same Ignore, with the same confirm click and Undo. Its block no longer gets a red ring for it.

Good to know

• Ignored errors are still counted, so nothing is lost. They are kept as long as other errors: 7 days on Free, 30 days with Premium.
• Dismiss all leaves ignored errors alone, so they never come back un-ignored.
• Hide until it happens again and Dismiss work as before.
• Ignore was called Mute before. Errors you muted are now ignored, and nothing else about them changes.
• Ignore is on every plan.
