What it is
Broke a command with a bad save? With Version History, every save keeps the version it replaced for 30 days, up to 20 versions for each command and event. Deleted commands and events are kept too, so you can bring them back. It's a Priority Hosting perk.
Find an older version
- Open Custom Commands or Custom Events and click a command or event to open it.
- Scroll down to Version history. Each version shows when it was replaced, whose save replaced it and how many blocks it had.
- Click a version to preview every block in it. Labels show how many blocks would come back, how many are different and how many would be removed.
Already in the builder? The Version history button (the clock at the top) opens the same list.
Put it back
Under the preview, pick one of three buttons:
- Overwrite with this version puts the older version back in place of the current one.
- Restore as new command keeps the current command and adds the old version next to it. The copy gets its own name and starts turned off, so it doesn't clash with the original.
- Open in builder loads the version in the builder so you can check it over first.
Then save your changes to make it live on your bot. The version you had is kept in history when you save, so you can change your mind.
Bring back a deleted command
Press Recently Deleted on the Custom Commands or Custom Events page, pick what you deleted and press Bring back command (or Bring back event). It comes back exactly as it was when it was deleted. Save your changes to make it live.
Name the versions that matter
Click the pen next to any version to give it a name, for example "before the ticket rework". Named versions are easy to spot when you come back later.
Good to know
- Versions are kept for bots whose owner has Priority Hosting, starting from the first save after that. Without it, you see a preview of the feature and nothing is kept.
- Collaborators can use it too, within what their role allows.
- Several saves by the same person within 10 minutes count as one version: the one from before the first save.
- Each bot keeps up to 1,000 versions in total. When it is full, the oldest go first.
- Commands and events that belong to a module are not included.
