Bot Presence and New Status Types

What changed

Your bot's presence is how it appears in the member list. You can now pick it yourself: Online, Idle, Do Not Disturb or Invisible. Changing the presence is free for all bots.

The Change the Bot's Status block can now switch the presence from any command or event, and it has three new status types: Streaming, Competing and Custom. Your bot also connects with its status already applied.

Set it on the Settings page

1. Open Settings.
2. In the Presence card, pick Online, Idle, Do Not Disturb or Invisible. You can also click the status dot on your bot's avatar.
3. Press Save Changes.

Discord can take a moment to refresh, so reopen the channel if you don't see the change straight away.

Change it from a command or event

Add the Change the Bot's Status block and choose an Online Presence. Leave it on Don't change to keep the current one, or pick Variable / Text to set it from a variable or command option. The value must be online, idle, dnd, invisible or keep.

Turn on Save as Default to keep the change after a restart. When it is off, the change lasts until the bot restarts or you save the dashboard.

New status types

The block's Status Type now offers Streaming, Competing and Custom alongside Listening, Playing and Watching.

• Streaming needs a Twitch or YouTube link in Stream URL. Discord only shows the Streaming status for a valid link.
• Competing shows as "Competing in" followed by your text.
• Custom (no prefix) shows your text on its own, without a Playing, Watching or Listening prefix.

Changing the status text needs Premium; free bots always show Made with BotGhost.com.

Good to know

• Invisible makes your bot look offline in Discord, even though it is running and commands still work.
• Existing bots keep the status they have now. Nothing changes until you pick something new.
