# Purge Messages

The purge messages action block will allow you to create a custom purge command to delete multiple messages at once rather than individually. you could use this block in an event to automate the deletion process!

### **Settings**

Here you can configure the actions main settings to determine the functionality of the action.

**Channel** - Here you can select the channel to purge the messages in, upon clicking this it will open a drop down list for you to select the channel selection method, you can choose from:

* Channel the command was run in \[default]
* Channel ID or channel option

**Amount** - Here you can enter the amount of messages to purge, the maximum amount is 100 but by default it is set the 5 messages.
